A POT OF GOLD

Azzedine Alaia 1990

We wanted to show Alaia in it's natural beauty so no makeup and no shoes

Amazing back detail

The flounce at the bottom to make it somewhat easier to walk

This weekend i spent all day Saturday going through my storage closets in my garage. I was looking to see what pieces I still had from my carefree days living in New York in the 80's and 90's. What I found was like a pot of gold! Azzedine Alaia, Comme des garcon, Matsuda, John Galliano, Romeo Gigli, and Jean Paul Gaultier. I even seem to have kept some young designers of that time like Isaia, Issac Mizrahi, Thea Anema, Brian Early and Patrick Cox. We were so excited I immediately put Camilla in the beautiful Alaia dress I wore for my wedding. And WOW! it fit her perfectly. There is so much more to come since we have to show all the beauty we've unearthed.

I absolutely adore these photos. That dress looks amazing on you. I can't really get over it. I love that you didn't use make-up either. A face like that needs no make-up.
