Band of Outsiders and Off To the Slopes.

Wow, We absolutely Love Scott Sternberg’s "highly stylized" Boy by Band of Outsiders Fall Line. He had Fake snow, Parking meters, old suitcases and A vintage Jaguar. Best of all he is LA based:) What can we say, after reading his muse was writer Joan Didion, vintage REI socks and ski wear we thought it a fitting post. As we are LA girls heading up to the mountains today for a bit of snowboarding. Can't wait to get in the mountain air and ride in all the new powder.  Hopefully we will have some powder left through the trees.  Style.com coined Sternberg's line by writing that "it gave off an Ice Storm vibe." We found some images from the Movie the "Ice Storm" based on Joan's book and some vintage ski bum pictures.
We love the youthful fresh feel he brings out by the use of fur mixed with the Paisleys, Menswear Flannels and plaids along with the colorful ski sweater vibe.

Now here's a little vintage bump from "Ice Storm" 1997
And Some Vintage Ski bums Enjoying the Slopes.

I don't know about you but we get the feeling. And soon we will be living among the snow and trees then enjoying an Apres Ski.
If you haven't seen the Movie "Ice Storm" rent it,  we know you'll love it for the fashion alone. See you soon:)

Yesteray I was absolutelly amazed by Band of Outsiders collection too, especially by models in 1st and 5th photos in your post. My other pleasant suprise was A Detacher collection with it's natural color pallet and comfy knitwears.
I'm so happy that this layerd, comfy nature inspired style feels quite a big trend for next season, at least for what we so now. Cause i'm already tired from this years sharp black and only black.

the collection is very retro. There has been such a mod pull this fashion week season.

That last picture looks sooo much like the new Lacoste collection!
